If you required a health specialist what would you look for? Would you look at their credentials? Would you look at where they studied? Would you look at what experience they have? Would you ask how many surgeries they have performed? Or do we not even care? So long as the surgery gets done, after all you know people who have letters behind their names but they have no idea what they are doing.

It is one thing to look for a qualified surgeon or builder or someone else with the right qualifications, but what about when it comes to the spiritual affairs of our life? What do we look for in that instance?

Jesus makes the claim in the Bible that He is the way, the truth and the life. But lots of religions make the claim that they are the way or that all religions lead to God. Whatever God they maybe talking about. How do we know which one is speaking the truth? They cannot all claim to be the way if those ways are all different. Surely there is only one truth, not many.

In Matthew 8 Jesus lays claim to be the One and only through a series of healings. As you read this chapter and ask yourself, “Who else in this vast world who can lay claim to have performed such miracles?” Jesus is the One and only! Check Him out and you will discover that Jesus is the only One. Where are you at in checking Jesus out?
